The Anand Agricultural University was formed
on May 2004 through the execution of the Gujarat Agricultural University Act,

agricultural universities formed basically with the object of rendering
training services to the farmers’ sons. The idea of its formation was conceived
by Sardar Vallabhhbhai Patel as back as in 1936. The university since then has
been active in providing education to the rural people of the state by training
them on agriculture and allied fields and improving agricultural productivity
through research and developing new varieties with high yielding capacities for
this purpose.
About
University Programs:
The university presently provides higher
education to all the students admitted in the field of agriculture through 7
colleges, 17 research centres and 6 extension education institutes of the
university affiliation. The university covers about six districts of the State
namely Ahmadabad, Anand, Dahod, Kheda, Panchmahal and Vadodra respectively for
this purpose. The university runs courses in agriculture and allied disciplines
for all the eligible candidates through its departments and colleges attached
to it. The main courses include B.Sc. Agriculture, M.Sc. Agriculture, M.Sc.
Horticulture and PhD Horticulture respectively.

Results:
The university normally conducts its
examinations in the month of June-July for this purpose. The results for the
university are announced within two to three months of the date of conducting
examinations. The university has recently announced the results of the
following exams held in July 2013 for the Final year or semester to the session
2011-2012 and 2010-2011 and 2012-2013 respectively depending on the course duration.
