About
AP TET Exam:
The Teacher Eligibility Test is a compulsory
examination for all the B.Ed. qualified candidates in order to qualify for the
post of Primary School Teachers in the government schools. Initially, the
minimum qualification for the post was B.Ed. degree from any recognized
university but now with the coming up of the TET Exam, all the candidates will
have to compulsorily qualify in the TET exam conducted by each state separately
for this purpose.
Minimum
Eligibility:
The minimum eligibility for applying to this
exam is Intermediate with at least 45% marks and a two year Diploma in
Elementary Education or Intermediate with 50% marks with 4 year Bachelor
program in Elementary Education or 2 year Diploma in Elementary Education for
the Primary level School Teachers.
For the Upper Primary level, the minimum
eligibility is Graduation or B.A./ B.Com/ B.Sc. with a minimum of 45% marks and
B.Ed course or 50% marks in 4 year of elementary education course or 2 year
Diploma in Elementary Education for this purpose.
The exam will be conducted in two phases for
both the categories of recruitment i.e. Category I FOR Class I TO V and
Category II for Class VI TO VIII Primary Teachers. The candidates appearing in
the respective examination will decide their level of recruitment.

Results 2013:
The TET results are normally announced within
60 days of the exam date for all AP TET applicants. The candidates will have to
score above 60% in both the exams in order to qualify for this exam. The
minimum qualifying marks for other categories are BC-50%, SC-40% and ST-40%
respectively. The results are available online for all the candidates as and
when announced by the concerned authority for this purpose. The candidates can
generate their results online from the official website of the APTET conducting
authority for this purpose. The candidates will have to enter their roll
numbers to open their results.
