GATE Exam
This stands for Graduation Aptitude Test in
Engineering which is organized by collaborate effort of Indian Institute Of
Technology (all 7 IITs’) and IIS(Indian Institute Of Science) which is govern
under Human Resource Department Ministry, NCB, Higher Education Department and
GOI. The candidate passed in GATE exam will be entitled to apply any PG
programmes like Master of Engineering, Technology and other research field

Eligibility Check List:
1. Degree in B.tech/B.Arc/B.E.
2. P.G in branch of mathematics or science or statistics or computer application.
3. Integrated degree (four yrs) in Master’s after B.Sc in Engineering or Technology.
4. Integrated degree (five yrs) in Master’s or equivalent qualification recognized by any institute.

5. Diploma holders are not allowed in any

Structure of Paper (Paper Pattern)
- Total Question are 65 each carries different marks (1 or 2).
- Total duration is 180 minutes
- Penalty for wrong answers are awarded for 1 and 2 marks questions separately which is 1/3marks and 2/3marks respectively of that question. No marks will be cut for unattempted questions.
- There will be minimum cut off or qualifying scores for each section

Examination Pattern:
It consists of General Aptitude (GA) Paper
and Core Subjects Papers (mentioned above). This is the objective type paper in
which number of question from GA is 10 out of 65 questions and is common and
compulsory for all. General Aptitude carries 15 marks. Rest of the
questions will be asked from the core papers in which candidate has applied.
Mode to Apply (payment of fee charges)
Candidate can apply either online
payment or through bank challan in any branch of SBI/ICICI/Indian Bank.
Application Charges: It is given below as per the category of the
candidate:
- For SC/ST- 500/
- For General/OBC-1000/
Mode of Examination:
This is online as well as offline exam. It is
up to the candidate to apply either for paper based exam or for online computer
exam. Examination center will be allotted in that manner only. List of
