CIFRI- refers to Central Inland Fisheries Research Institute
is one of the oldest institute that is involved in biological studies and
behavior of fishes. It was established in 1947 at Kolkata. Projects related to
fish culture, fish seed production, air breathing fish culture, ecology and
fisheries management of freshwater reservoirs and brackish water fish farming.
CIFRI has recently published a notice for engagement of RA_Research
Associate under the NFBSFARA funded project. Applications are invited from
willing and eligible candidates.
Profile Details:
Position- RA_Research
Associate.
Number of Vacancy- One
Location-
Barrackpore, Kolkata
Project- Stock Characterization, captive breeding, seed
production, and culture of Hilsa.
Emoluments:
Twenty three thousand with HRA for Candidates having
Master’s degree, while PH.D candidates are applicable for twenty four thousand
along with HRA.
Eligibility
Criteria
Upper age limit must not exceed forty years for men and
forty five years for women.
The essential qualification demands PH.D. in Fisheries
Resource Mgmt, Aquaculture or Fish breeding. Candidates having Master’s degree
in Zoology or subjects related to Aquaculture with minimum sixty percent of
marks or M.FSc. are also eligible to apply.
Candidates are expected to have well versed with computer
applications including Statistical software.
Candidates who have published research papers in reputed
journals will be given extra preference.
Selection
Criteria:
The selection of the candidates shall be made on the basis
of interview.
How to Apply:
Willing candidates have to attend the walk in interview,
which is to be held on May-30th-2013 at 10.30 AM. Candidates are
expected to present at the venue fifteen minutes before the exam.
Candidates must bring all the certificates and testimonials,
including originals.
Candidates have to attend the interview at their own cost.
