The Yogi Vemana University is named after one
of the renowned Philosophers Yogi Vemana. The university was established in the
year 2006 by the passing of an Act of the AP State Legislature in the state of
Andhra Pradesh. The university presently has 115 faculty and a number of
affiliating colleges associated with the university to provide for the
educational facilities of the state. The university offers various conventional
and inter-disciplinary courses through 27 departments in a number of
disciplines.
