Border Security Force (BSF) Exam

Border Security Force was established on 1 Dec. in 1965 for the purpose of maintaining peace and guards them from unfair movements and crimes at the borders which connect the India with other countries. It is counted as one of the world’s largest border security body having 186 battalions and lakh of personnel deployed for National security. There are various Ranks given as per the Cadre and thus recruitment in BSF is done as per the number of vacant posts. The Name of the Post, age condition and required qualification to apply for the BSF is provided below:

The Border Security Force does not require only Educational Qualification, as it is related with guarding National Borders, but it is supposed that the Male and Female have some Physical Standards which is thoroughly mentioned in the BSF official website.

Provisions for Reservation

1. Ex-servicemen, OBC, SC and ST are entitled to avail the reservation and their seats are determined by number of the SC and ST population in that state.

2. This reservation also visible among different categories of candidates in the Physical Test Criteria having different standard for Height and Weight.

3. Medical standard includes testing of Vision and other deformity or defects in the other area of body.

Application Fee: 

It is Rs.50/- for General Candidates. No charges are taken from other categories of candidates.

Way of Selection: 

Candidates will be selected on basis of their performance in the Physical test subject to qualify other eligibility criteria.
