Karnataka CET-2013:
This is one of the State level
Examinations, the purpose of which to select the Engineering and Medical
student for various universities run in the territory of the Karnataka.For

apprehensive for their admission in JEE, have fair chance to make their dream
true by applying in KCET. This examination is held under the thumb of
State Government.
Dates to be Noticed:
Submitting Application form for
State Candidates: 30 march, 2013
Submitting Application form for
Outside Candidates: 5 April, 2013
Exam Date: 1may 2013 and 2 may 2013
Download Admit Card: 20 April 2013
Result Declared: may 28, 2013
Application fee Charges: For open category: 650/- and
reserved category 500/-
Parameter for Eligibility:
Educational Qualification: for Btec.applying, it is 45% aggregate in PCB groups(open category),
40%(reservation categories).
Reservation: Seats are reserved for State candidates, Category
reservation, and those coming through Management Quota.
Paper Outline:
Three papers are there for the CET
exam. Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (B.tech) and Physics, Chemistry and
Biology (Medical).
Nature of Examination:
Number of Papers: Objective type with 2 papers. Paper1 is for Physics
and Chemistry. Paper2 is for Mathematics.
Total Questions: 180 carrying 1 marks on each questions
Total Marks: Paper1- 120 marks Paper2- 60 marks
Total time: 2hr 20 min for paper1 and 1hr 20 min for
paper2.
Deduction for wrong answers: no negative marking
Marks for unanswered questions: no marks will be cut.
Mode of Selection:
Candidate qualifying in the exam
will be selected by their Ranks obtained in the CET exam.
For B.Arch student, it is mandatory
to pass the national aptitude test in architecture.
Process of Applying:
Candidate may receive the
application form concern State Authority (for state Candidates).Other outside
candidate can get the form by sending DD in favor of “EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF
KARNATAKA EXAMINATION AUTHORITY, BANGALORE”. State candidate can submit the
form to the respective college and schools and others have to send the
application form on or before the closing date of submitting registration.
