Zoological Survey
of India Recruitment
ZSI (Zoological Survey of India) is a premier research
institute that is widely indulged in study of animals and their behavior,
varying from different taxa of Protozoan to Mammalians. Its head quarter is
located at Kolkata, controlled by Ministry of Environment and Forests.
ZSI has published a notice for appointment of JRF for
Andaman and Nicobar region. Applications are invited from eligible and suitable
candidates. Other details are given below.

Remuneration- Twelve thousand per month + HRA
Educational
background:
Candidates having Master’s degree in Marine Biology/ Zoology
with at least sixty percent marks are eligible to apply.
Candidate’s age limit must not exceed twenty eight years.
Candidates belonging to reserved categories can be
considered for age relaxation in special cases, which will lie in accordance
with govt. norms.
Candidates are expected to have a research experience in
practical handling of corals, echinoderms, sponges, mollusks, gorgonians,
fishes, planktons etc.
Candidates must know the swimming skills, scuba diving.
Selection
Procedure:
Candidates will be
selected on the basis of interview. The decision of selection panel shall be
considered final.
How to Apply:
Candidates are supposed to bring the duly filled application
in prescribed format, along with all supporting documents including copies of
testimonials (from high school onwards) with originals.
Candidates must reach the venue thirty minutes before the
commencement of interview.
Interview is to be conducted on Jun-19th-2013
from 9 AM.
