CENTAC JET Exam
CENTAC
JET or Centralised Admission Committee Joint Entrance Test is conducted by
Centralised admission committee under the Government of Pondicherry to select candidates in UG degree like
engineering and biotechnology courses and
PG courses viz. M.Tech, M.V.Sc and several other Post Graduation courses in the
area of dentals, Medical & engineering programmes in the institutions and
colleges Puducherry state.
Eligibility
Criteria for PG Exam:
This
exam is primarily for the admission into PG courses so the candidates who have
done their graduation from the UGC recognized university or are waiting for
their qualifying examination van apply for the exam. For updates visit

be admitted as per their Graduation marks and % of state quota.
Eligibility
Criteria for UG Exam:
50%
marks in their respective group of subjects, i.e. PMC or PBC.
Application
Form
The
applications form can be obtained from Internet or online from the official
website of CENTAC JET and it can also be received from in person present in
CENTAC office and assigned the responsibility of Application Form distribution.
The price of application if received from in person is cheaper than offline
received of Application Form. The applications will be availed in the month of
December/January. Application Form commencing date is not fixed and it gets
changed every year. Although the tentative date for the submitting
Application Form is in the month of Mar/Apr(PG courses).
Syllabus
and Pattern of Examination:
Post
Graduation Exam:
The
question paper will be consisting of the questions of the candidate's
graduation subjects and their domain knowledge.
The
questions will be objective types where in some question candidates needs to
write their answers up in brief.
Under
Graduation Exam:
Paper
1: 60questions
Paper
2: 80questions
from Physics & Chemistry
Paper
3: 100questions
from Biology
Penalty
for wrong answers will apply for this exam.
The
mode of Instruction will be English only.
How
to Apply for CENTAC Exam:
Both
ways are available for the candidate to apply for the exam, either the can opt
for Internet mode or without Internet mode. Check the official website for this
clause.
