The Acharya N.G. Ranga Agricultural
University is the agricultural university of the state of Andhra Pradesh,
initially called as the Andhra Pradesh Agricultural University. The university
was established on 12th June 1964 to provide for the higher
education in the field of Agriculture The university was renamed as Acharya
N.G. Ranga University in the memory of late Acharya N.G. Ranga, an eminent
parliamentarian on 7th November 1996. The university is considered a
milestone for imparting higher education in the field of agriculture by
promoting the application of Science & Technology for the agricultural
development.
The university has 4 college campuses to its
credit and it runs a number of courses under those campuses to provide for the
higher education in agriculture for all the students enrolled in those
programs. The main programs include the PG, UG, Phd and Polytechnic courses
conducted through separate modes of admission.
The
admission to the university is on the basis of the Common Written Exam
conducted for all the eligible candidates held every year in the month of
June-July. The AGRICET (Agriculture Common Entrance Test) 2013 was conducted on
30th June for all the students for admissions to different courses
under the university, the results of which are about to come very soon.

to be declared very soon. The website has already uploaded the link for the
answer keys and very shortly it will be announcing the names of all the
successful candidates in the said exam through merit and cut-off as decided by
the university. The shortlisted candidates will be called for the counseling on
the dates specified by the university for this purpose.
