This time SSC has taken the responsibility of selecting eligible candidates for the Engineering Assistant and Technician posts vacant in the Prasar Bharti. This vacancy is not for any particular region but is categorized in number of zones, candidate falling in particular zone may apply from that zone only and he will be liable to select in that zone.

Engineering Assistant: Total Post 1290

Technician: Total Post 340

Scale of Pay:

Engineering Assistant: 9300/--34800/-

Technician: 5200/-20200/-

Educational Qualifications:

Engineering Assistant:

3yrs diploma in IT/Radio/Elec./Electronics/E n C/Telecommunications from recognized University.
Atleast 1 yr work ex in the respective field. Graduation in Physics from recognized University with min. 1yr work experience.

Technician:

Intermediate and min two yrs diploma in Electronics and Telecommunications from recognized University.

Syllabus and Examination Pattern of 2013

Prasar Bharati Engineering Assistant Examination 2013 will be of following types:

(Objective Type)  Paper – 1 

(Descriptive Type) Paper-2 

The paper will be conducted on two dates namely, 26/05/2013 and 21/07/2013 by Staff Selection Commission.

Examination Structure:

Paper – 1 

It consists of 3 sections in Paper – 1, detailing is given as:

General Intelligence and Reasoning sections: 50Quests

Technical Knowledge: 100 Quests

General Awareness: 50Quests

In Short:

Total Number of Questions: 200  

Allotted Time: 2 hrs

Maximum Marks: 200   

Paper-2 

The nature of this paper is Descriptive Type that will contain the questions related to Degree level and Diploma level of subjects concerned. 

Maximum Marks: 200    

Time limit: 2 hours

Candidate can select any 1 of the following subjects as their Descriptive paper:

Radio Engineering/ Information Technology/ Physics/ Electrical Engineering/Telecommunication/ Engineering/ Electronics Engineering/

Interview phase will comprise of 100 marks

Final Selection of the Candidate will require:

Performance in Paper1+ Performance in Paper2+Interview.

Only apply online at SSC official website and pay the Application fee either through net banking or submitting challan form at SBI branches.

Application Fee:

Rs. 200/- for Unreserved Category, no charges from reserved as well as girls, x-servicemen.
