Grade Pay of Rs. 2400/- in the Post Offices or Circle Offices or Railway Mail
Service Office or as Sorting Assistants and Postal Assistants or Railway Mail
Service Divisional Office or Foreign Post or Postal Stores Depot or Internet
Check Organization or Saving Bank Control Organization or Director of Postal
Life Insurance Offices, Kolkata or Returned Letter offices or Mail Motor
Service.
Applicants must have worked for
the service period of 5yeras.
Age Criteria:
Upper age defined for the exam is
40years, SC and ST candidates are given the relaxation upto five years.

Syllabus of the Examination:
Paper 1:
Office procedure and management
of materials, organization of department, establishment and administrative
matters, rules,instructions,acts,guidelines pertaining to the Indian and
foreign post, money remittances, mail operations, saving bank schemes and
certificates, rural and postal life insurance.
Paper 2:
CCA Rules, conduct rules, FHB,
SR, Financial rules, Accounts rules.
Paper 3:
Indian constitution, RTI acts and
consumer protection act, definitions, extent, short title and commencement of
Cr PC and CPC,
Time Duration for each paper is
180minutes for attempting 150 multiple choice questions in each paper carrying
300marks each.
Qualifying marks is 45% for
unreserved category with 40% marks in each paper.
Qualifying marks is 38% for ST
and SC category with 33% marks in each paper
Number of Attempts:
Maximum four attempts,
irrespective of the applicant’s designation.
