IIT’s to provide admission into the Management Departments of following given
reputed institutes for two years full time PG Degree Programmes in

Eligibility for JMET Exam:
Graduation in any stream from a recognized institution is a
Minimum qualification for taking part in the JMET examination .Final year of
qualifying degree course students are also eligible to apply. The selection of
such candidates will depend upon the submission of required documents within
the stipulated time period of time.
Each participating institute has their own Eligibility as
follows:-
IIT Roorkee: Department of Management Studies
Eligibility:
Candidates with Bachelor’s degree in Technology or Engineering
with 1st class or equivalent or a PG with 1st class or equivalent in any
discipline from a recognized Institute or University with minimum 60% marks for
open & OBC category candidates and 55% marks for ST/SC category candidates
in total or 6 CGPA for open & OBC category candidates and 5.50 for ST/SC
category candidates.
IIT Kharagpur: Department of Humanities and Social Sciences
Programme: Master of Human Resource Management
Eligibility:
1st class in Graduation in any branch of engineering or Technology
or 1st in PG in Commerce, Humanities, Science or and Social Sciences.Government
rules are also applicable for the OBC, SC, ST and PWD candidates. Application
rating, examination performance, GD and PI are the basis for selection.
Experience candidate will be given preference.
IIT Kharagpur: Vinod Gupta School of Management
Eligibility:
A candidate who has 1st class in Graduation degree in Engineering
or Technology or a 1st class in PG in Science (either Mathematics or Statistics
at Graduation level) or a 1st class PG degree in Commerce or Economics (either
Mathematics or Statistics at Graduation level) can also apply.Government rules
and norms are also applicable foe various categories.
IIT Kanpur: Department of Industrial & Management Engineering
Eligibility:
A Graduation in any branch of engineering or technology from
recognized University with minimum 60% of marks or 6 pointers in total,
candidate pursuing distance learning is not eligible. Candidates with degree in
Architecture can apply but they must possess Mathematics at Intermediate level.
ST/SC candidates qualifying JMET exam and pass the qualifying degree
as above are eligible to apply no matter their marks in
graduation.
IIT Delhi: Department of Management Studies
Eligibility:
Candidates with minimum 60% marks in aggregate (of all the
years/semesters) or 6.75 CGPA in graduation degree in any branch of Engineering
or Technology or Architecture or Pharmacy or Agriculture Engineering. (Min.4
years after class 12th) PG in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics,
Environmental Science Statistics, Computer Applications, Electronic Science,
Information Science Operations Research, Computational, , Agriculture,
Commerce, Economics are eligible to apply. There is a relaxation of 5% in marks
or equivalent in CGPA for SC/ST candidates.
IIT Bombay: Shailesh J Mehta School of Management
Eligibility:
Candidates with a Ist class Bachelor’s degree in
engineering (or equivalent) or Ist class
PG degree in Science or 60% marks in
complete semesters/year. Minimum CGPI is 6.5 are eligible to apply.
M.Sc Candidates must have 60% in Graduation. Relaxation of 5% marks in
CGPI or equivalent for ST/SC candidates.
IIT Madras: Department of Management Studies
Eligibility:
Candidates with B.E. or B.Tech and equivalent to this with 1st
class or equivalent to this from a recognized University OR a PG or
equivalent in any discipline with 1st class or equivalent from a recognized
University can also apply. Government rules are also applicable.

How to Apply for JMET Exam:
JMET Examination fees charges (On line process) are Rs 750.00/ for
General and 350.00 SC / ST and (Off line process) Rs 800.00 for General and Rs
400.00 SC / ST is to be deposited by a DD.
