of Mumbai after the notification came up from Maharashtra Government in
1996,Sep4. Earlier it was known as Bombay University. The University is famous for its extra

Eligibility criteria for UG Courses:
Students
seeking admissions in the various Under Graduate courses will need to have
valid class 12th mark sheet at hand passed from CBSE, MEB
(Maharashtra Education Board) or any other recognized Board/School with minimum
passing marks before filling the Admission form of University of Mumbai.
Eligibility criteria for PG Courses:
For
admission to Post Graduation courses, candidate must have Bachelors degree from
any renowned Institution or Universities. Minimum %age of marks is desirable
for different PG courses.
Procedure to Apply for University
of Mumbai :
Candidates
or students have both options available to apply for the application in the University of Mumbai. The first mode
is offline where students are required to fill in the Application Form that is
obtained from the centers mentioned in the University site
without making any flaw.
Application Fee is payable either through DD or Pay Order which has to be
submitted to the counters specified by the Mumbai University. The second mode
is online where student can apply online. It is mandatory that candidate should
attach all the credentials photocopies after attesting it with Application Form and DD.
Selection Criteria :-
The mode of
selecting the eligible candidates is purely based on the merit list prepared by
University of Mumbai, so in order to
ensure your place in the University, high percentage of marks in the respective
qualifying examination is required. The merit list has come up in June month.
